EU Members visit Bhutan

A delegation of Ambassadors of the European Union—comprising of the Ambassadors of the Czech Republic, Greece, Estonia, Lithuania, Malta, and Charge d’Affaires of Austria and Spain, all resident in India—visited Bhutan from 30th January to 3rd February 2017.

The delegation, led by the EU Ambassador to Bhutan H.E. Mr. Tomasz Kozlowski, called on the Honourable Prime Minister, Ministers, Speaker of the National Assembly, Leader of the Opposition, and officials from government agencies and the Bhutan Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

On 1st February, a handing over ceremony of financing agreements for an EU project, ‘Support to Local Government and Public Finance Management’, was counter signed by the Secretary of the GNH Commission.

During the visit, the delegation also received audiences with His Majesty the King and His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo.
